Well, Wednesday has come and gone.... Still no stuff. We have managed to get some money back, but basically there has been some serious communication problems between the coordinator and the carrier. Needless to say, they are going to have to eat the penalty between the two of them. Now they are saying, "By Sunday," so we will see.
After Alyssa left, I had my moment of freaking out, but that has since come and gone, and I feel better now. It is weird knowing that the kids have no one to play with, no activities to go to, no one's house to visit...and neither do I. Yikers. It was funny because I was ready to be alone and then right after Wak left, I wanted her back.
The good thing is that Lily's bed and our dryer was delivered on Wednesday, so at least everyone has a bed to sleep in. I am still working on getting the gas dryer connected, but I think I found someone to do that. We can't just call Grandpa or Uncle Matt anymore.
Anyhow, this week has been more business than play. I have mainly been working on furnishing the house with rugs, towels, placemats, cleaning supplies & food. I've also done a lot of address change stuff, label ordering & thank you writing. I even mowed the lawn and washed the car. I forgot what it was like to take the kids EVERYWHERE and attend to them ALL DAY with no t.v. I liked it better when time was more balanced, but we will get there. I think the kids are going through a bit of adjustment themselves, having to run more errands than usual and spend more time with each other.
We've got a lot of mail from family and friends this week, so we are enjoying that. The kids have also been really good about talking on the phone.
I think we are going to take an R&R day tomorrow and go to the pool and another picking farm. I'm looking forward to the weekend.
