Our stuff made it it. Mangled, but here. I mean, seriously, it looks like it's been through a war. I would say about 10% of our bin are in tact (crack free) and about 20% of the boxes uncrushed. It was nuts!!!! But even through it all, I have very little that is broken....a crystal bowl, some coffee cups... The main mess was the flour, oil and syrup that had leaked all over the box contents. I had to wash EVERYTHING in my kitchen. We did had some scuffing of furniture, but nothing too bad.. And as for missing stuff... a lot of bins broke... So, I think we may be missing some puzzles pieces, maybe some train stuff, but nothing huge. At least that I can think of.
I have been crazy, whirlwind girl putting things away. Yesterday, I tackled the kitchen, the dining, the family room, and our room. Today, I did the kid's rooms. Their room was WAYYYYYY harder. I was cursing everyone who had ever given them toys. I mean seriously. It's ridiculous. Even this house isn't big enough for it all. I am realizing now that Lily needs a dresser and book shelf upgrade. Ugh....
Well, tomorrow it's the office & garage. I've got a lot of loose ends to tie up. The garbage & box pile is nuts!!!! I'm unpacking 9100lbs!!!!! Yikers. That's a lot.
I am really having fun unpacking though... Some of my stuff have been in boxes since Peter was 1! I don't think I have even seen my china or crystal since our wedding!!! It's so fun to see all my baking pans & glassware again. I keep trying to organize things, only to realize that I have plenty of room.
I do love this house though. It rocks.
