We had our first earthquake today!!!! It was crazy. We were in Target in the hooks aisle when all the merchandise started swaying... At first I thought someone was rocking the shelves, until I figured it out. I instinctively crouched down and made Lily too. It didn't last long and it was really nothing much. But it was drama...Fun, you could say.
The kids were pretty much unaffected. Lily said, "Mom, I didn't even feel it. I just saw stuff swaying."
The earthquake was a 5.4 magnitude, centered in Chino, CA, about 90 miles away driving. I am unsure as a crow flies.
Ever since my equilibrium has been totally off. I am sure I am feeling ever-so-slight aftershocks (some being 3.4 mag), being that there has been several in the past hours. I almost feel sick to my stomach, I am so motion sick. It's weird.
I am glad we were pretty far from it, I would hate to have felt it at the epicenter.
Anyhow, just another day in the life of a Californian.
Tomorrow, it's off to get a smog check.
