After 1965 miles, we finally made it here to Camarillo this afternoon around 4:00.The drive in was beautiful. I never realized that L.A. was so awesome landwise. There are mountains and cool vegetation everywhere. On the way in, we stopped into Hollywood to get some pictures and then we jumped on the 101 into Camarillo. The drive into Camarillo was like no other. Descending into the city, it seems that the vegetation changes, as does the urbanness of the city. Camarillo has a special little niche. It's a place where strawberry fields, citrus groves, suburbia and mountains live side by side. I never expected the neighborhoods to look like Wysteria Lane, nor did I expect to be living so close to growers. The combination is so unique.
Upon arrival, we settled Mike into his room, which is in a great neighborhood and across from our potential elementary school. We ate dinner tonight at Safire, which was phenomenally good. We also made a run to Target and Costco and even made time to head to the beach. The types of people and lifestyles here are so numerous.
Anxious for my first earthquake.
House hunting tomorrow.
