Happy Birthday to me! Happy Birthday to me! Happy Birthday Dear, Me! Happy Birthday to me!

Well, I'm offically 26 today. I can't believe it has been 5 years since I turned 21 and 10 years since I turned 16. Time really does fly. Birthdays are fun, though. And, unlike Mike, I don't dread every birthday that gets closer to 30. I rather enjoy being older rather than younger, at least for now. I like having more credibility as I age. Although, I don't like wrinkles. I found one on my forehead a couple of weeks ago and I am trying to figure out how to get rid of it...but for some reason I don't think that is going to happen...too bad.

I haven't posted in a while, so here is an update.

- Peter started eating solids this weekend. He is exhibiting most of the signs of readiness (i.e. not sleeping through the night anymore, over 15 lbs, going shorter between feedings, etc.), so I tried. He loves it! He even laps up the food like a puppy...It's adoreable.

- Mike and I split up the kids to run errands on Saturday. Then on Sunday I found out that Mike accidentally put Crisco on Lily's bagel instead of cream cheese. Oye!!! We laughed about it all day. Poor little girl.

- Peter is getting stronger!!! He is almost five months old and sitting up. He is such a doll I just want to gobble him up! I love this age.

- Lily has gotten very affectionate lately. Today she came up to me and gave me a hug and said, "I sweetheart." She is adoreable. She even tells us that she misses us and loves us. She also is getting so interactive. She always wants to tell us stories, read us her books (she has all of them memorized), and sing us songs. She is so fun.

- I can't believe Thanksgiving is next week. I have been in such a baking mood. I have made a couple of cakes from Nigella Lawson's cookbooks and I am hooked. I love playing homemaker.

- I am 2 lbs shy of my weight loss goal of losing 20 lbs before my birthday! I fit into all my post marathon clothes and am loving it. I finally feel like I don't have to go shopping for new clothes because I have a whole closet full of them! If that's not a great way to save money, I don't know what it.

- I ran 6 miles in 56 minutes yesterday! We are up to running 17 miles a week in our marathon training. My pace has improved from an 11 minute mile to a 9.5 minute mile without even trying!

I'll post some more pictures later this week.
