Things have been pretty hectic around here. There have been lots of things to write about, I just haven't had time to write. Peter, Lily, Mike and I have been getting aong pretty well. Life with two small children is very, very busy. Here are some fun comments about the past weeks:
- Lily won't let Grandpa hold Peter because she's afraid Grandpa is going to take him home and never bring him back.
- We brought out pictures of Mike as a baby and Peter looks EXACTY like him. It looks like were going to have another handsome fellow on our hands.
- We took Lily and Peter to the Zoo on Saturday. We discovered that that's where people with children hang out.
- Peter goes in for his 1 month pictures on Friday, I am very excited.
- It feels like the summer has flown by...with being pregnant and having Peter and all. Although, I am looking forward to the fall.
- I am discovering that I truely am a mom when I go to bed thinking about cordless dust busters and baby slings.
- I got my haircut today and it feels fabulous. It's amazing what the small things in life do for you when you are not getting much sleep.
-Mike accidentally put one of Peter's onesies on Lily. It was hilarious.
- Lily is totally loving this new baby thing. Peter has gotten so many toys that she gets to play with AND she has even managed to get some of her own. But overall, she loves Peter. She always wants to know where he is. When Mike comes home from work, she even tells him that he "cried, tooted, burped, and pooped." It's adoreable. She also always wants to "cuddle Peter."
- I think Lily is getting bored. It seems she needs more to stimulate her brain. The park just isn't cutting it anymore. So far I have tried a swimming pool outside, painting in the garage, crayons in the bath and playdough. I need more ideas that I can do while Peter sleeps. I can't wait until Lily's fall programs to start, I think she will be more content.
- I have been trying to get Lily to eat better foods as well as not whine, it has been quite a chore.
- Peter went to his first Twins game. They won 12-0. Our kids are good luck.
- Lily got new shoes today (she went up a size and a half!!!) and she built a castle out of her blocks, she was quite proud.
- I am getting very excited for Brett's wedding in a couple of weeks. Ahhh, the things stay at home moms looks forward to.
- Mike has been fabulous with Peter and Lily lately, he has made this transition much easier on me.
- Lily is into Raffi. The songs rarely get stuck in my head.
- We took the kids to Milwaukee two weeks ago. It was a story.
- I cast Peter's feet. They looks so cool. I wish I would have done Lily's.
- I started running again. It feels fabulous. I almost crave running. I just can't wait until my clothes fit me again. Marathon here I come.
- Peter is going to have his first bottle tomorrow. Ahhhh, sweet independence.
