I went to Costco today and after waiting for a parking spot for 5 minutes a lady STOLE IT!!! I was so awestruck I didn't know what to do. Had she not realized that there was a real person in the car, I thought. So I waited until she got out of her car and said in a polite voice, "Mam, I was waiting for that spot," to which this 30 year old well dressed mother of two replied, "Honey, there are plenty of other spots." I was furious, what I hypocrite, I thought. I had been waiting for the spot for 5 minutes, she had just pulled around the corner. As I was talking to her, her two upper class children aged 4 and 6 were getting out of the car. Then I made the comment, "I can't believe you would behave like this in front of your children," to which she did not reply. So, I left and found a new spot. Later on in the store I spotted her, I hope she felt bad when she found out that I was 9 months pregnant and carrying a 20 month old. All I have to say is rude people like that breed rude children. That's why it's so important to set a good example for your children. Thus, I made every effort to resist the urge to key her car. I also have resisted the urge to name call. I may not have handled the situation perfectly, but I think I am the better person for it.
