Lily injured her ankle on Friday night. We were at the park and she was going down the twirly slide with Maddie and she twisted her leg. We got x-rays taken and they didn't think it was a break, but they said they couldn't rule it out. We went into the doctor again this morning and her doctor said that if it were fractured, they still wouldn't cast it, consider child bones heal in 2-3 weeks!!! That's amazing to me. But she hasn't walked all weekend and just started crawling this morning, so we have quite the stationary child. She points at what she wants and says, "Please, please." And when you move her or bump her leg she says, "Hurt, hurt." It's enough to melt your heart. Needless to say, I didn't sleep well all weekend because everytime she would move positions she would wimper. Poor Lily. On a positive note, discipline has become much easier AND with all the 40 degree days in the forecast, I am going to get a lot of exercise pushing her around in her stroller!!! Hopefully she gets better soon though, considering how much she loves to walk and how sore my back gets from carrying her.
