2. I made my first ever three course meal today. It consisted of Watermelon, Black Olive and Parsley Salad, Hasselback Potatoes, Oven Roasted Lemon and Garlic Chicken, and Strawberry Meringue Layer Cake. It was very pretty and delicious.
3. Lily's birthday party is fast approaching. Look for your invite in the mail.
4. We spent part of this last weekend in Chicago on family business. A short edited synopsis of the trip: A 4 a.m. wake up, a 7 hour drive, 2 hours of Chicago traffic, 1 hour of Chicago traffic back, 3 hours of sleep, 2 hours of Chicago traffic, 2 hours of Chicago traffic back, crazy pelting sideways rain, a rainbow, a 7 hours drive, and an 11 p.m. arrival back in Minneapolis. How is that for editing? Overall, I have to say... Lily is a great traveler!
5. On Wednesday night, Lily got on the jumbotron at the Twins game again! This time it was just her! It was sooo sweet!
6. I learned all about second cousins and the "once removed" thing this weekend. I have been wanting to know that for years.
7. If you wanted to know. Lily is roughly 36.5% German, 25% Norwegian, 25% Polish, 6.25% French, 6.25% Swedish and some other stuff. All I have to say is, she really is going to have some great arguments with herself.
8. We watched Best in Show this weekend. Great movie!
