Considering I haven't posted very much in the past two weeks, I figured I should probably post an update. So here goes.
1.) Lily giggled for the first time last night!!! I was zurberting her feet and she just giggled. It was enough to melt your heart.
2.) Working at the Star Tribune is like living on a private college campus...everything is state of the art. My first couple weeks at the Strib are going really well. I really think I can enjoy the job, the people are nice, and Lily and Mike are doing well with me being gone. It seems to be a good match. The best parts about the job are the coffee shop, the cafeteria, the artwork, the perks, the technology, and the feeling that you are a part of something larger.
3.) Lily has a new best friend....Boo the bear. She loves sitting and talking to him. They can carry on a conversation for 30 minutes at a time.
4.) My Christmas cards are almost done...so expect yours in the mail sometime soon.
5.) Lily and I put up the Christmas decorations! Lily is mesmerized by the tree and the little houses.
6.) My Christmas shopping is almost done! (But I have been saying that for two weeks now...the list just keeps growing)
7.) Lily got to go to the Hollidazzle Parade. She loved the floats and would even cry in between them! She eventually fell asleep before Santa Claus came. We had to buy her a scarf though, because her cheekies were getting cold.
8.) Lily fell asleep while I was reading her Amelia Earhart's Biography this morning. She is such a good baby.
9.) We went swing dancing on Saturday night at the Tapestry in South Minneapolis. It was soooo fun. You should go there sometime...they have lessons the first Saturday of every month. They have people of all ages....singles and couples. They have a great atmosphere!!! Even a live band.
10.) ESPN has the stupidest announcers...they actually think that Lambau Field is colder than Minnesota.
11.) We haven't gotten our mail in three days.
12.) Lily and I went to see Santa Claus 2 on Friday. She was quiet through the whole movie and even watched most of it!
